The Ashcroft Ghost Town in Aspen was once part of the gold and silver boom that drew in thousands of people in the 1880s. It has since been restored and has an updated saloon, a post office, and hotel. Those who have visited the hotel say that it is especially haunted. Ghosts of old miners are believed to be the ones lingering here in spirit. The ghosts seem to be fond of the roadways they once traveled on as this is where they have been spotted. Many of the miners were said to be inexperienced and they ended up losing their life trying their hand at mining.
