This casino and hotel was built in 1896 and is believed to be haunted by a ghost called Maggie. She is a rose-scented Irish woman dressed in turn-of-the-century clothing. Her spirit sometimes appears playing slot machines with a male ghost, or else eimply appears as a blue light. The location is also haunted by the ghost of a young girl called Lily, she is said to linger on Bennett Avenue near the hotel. Legend says that Lily loves purple balloons, and when one is left for her, it can be seen floating around as if being play with by unseen hands. Balloons that are left for her in different colors are said to pop.

Over the years, the building also housed medical offices, a Masonic Lodge ballroom, and a mortuary. In the restaurant the feeling of being watched by someone that is really not there came over us! could this be the remnant of the Mortuary.
