The St. Elmo Hotel is a historic location and is rumored to have a haunted dining room. Employees that have worked late hours here have reported hearing furniture being moved around but upon investigation have found nothing.

  • unplugged lamp

    We stayed there in Aug 2022 and checked in late around 9:30 pm. An envelope was left for us with our room key, the building employees had left prior to us getting in. We put our bags down and turned the lamps on then left to stroll the town. When we returned, I was unpacking my chargers and realized that the lamp on my side of the bed was unplugged and laying on the ground. We had video footage to prove we turned the lamps on. The room was cozy and the breakfast was great, but I didn't get much sleep. Truly a beautiful building!

  • Ghost stole my disposable camera

    I stayed one night the end of March 2008 with my daughter and grand-daughter. I took pictures at each end of the upstairs hallway to see if I could get any ghosts on them. The next day, my camera could not be found anywhere. We stayed in the far back right suite (two queen beds, no t.v.). Children were not allowed, but they let us stay because they were empty. There was no one at the check out desk by the front door to tell about my camera when we left.
